Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Out On DVD And Blu-Ray


The Blu-Ray combo pack of the latest addition in the Battlestar Galactica Series comes out today with never-before-seen, unrated footage. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome is a new spin-off film that debuted on Machinima’s premiere Youtube channel, Machinima Prime, on November 9, 2012 as a 10-part series, then premiered as a 2-hour movie event on the SyFy channel February 10, 2013.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome stars Luke Pasqualino (“The Borgias”) as a young Captain William Adama in the hard-hitting tale of the first Cylon war.  Humans on the 12 colonial worlds are battling against their sentient creations, the Cylons, and a young Captain Adama is in the middle of the action assigned to the most powerful battlestar in the entire colonial fleet: the Galactica.  With Ben Cotton (“Alcatraz”) as his co-pilot Coker  and Lili Bordán (“Silent Witness”) as Dr. Becca Kelly, Captain Adama finds himself on a dangerous mission that becomes a turning point in the war for the desperate fleet.

With top-notch special effects and CGI, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, lives up to the franchise by providing stunning action visuals. This film is set between the events in Caprica, and the acclaimed reboot of the series. The additional footage added to the Blu-Ray combo pack edition adds more depth and development to the characters for a more well-rounded story arc.

Bonus Features exclusive to the Blu-Ray combo pack include seven additional deleted scenes while the bonus features on the Blu-Ray and DVD editions includes only six deleted scenes. All editions include the featurette “Blood & Chrome Visual Effects” which goes behind the scenes to show viewers how some of the amazing green screen work was completed.
