Being an avid Doctor Who fan, I was excited to get to review this issue. In the words of the 9th Doctor it, I would rate this issue, “Fantastic!”
The issue starts with the Doctor arriving on earth at the same time as an intergalactic war is waging just above the planet. They have sworn not to harm us, and so the humans take up seats to watch the lights in the sky. The Doctor however has other plans (you know how he likes saving us even if we don’t see that there could be danger.) The ending of the issue has an interesting twist that reminded me of a 10th Doctor episode in “Army of Ghosts”, but you’ll have to read it to know what I mean. Sorry, I can’t give to much away.
I’m excited for the second installment as the issue left me hanging…with the Doctor being cornered…as he usually is.
