Meet my fur-daughter Daisy. When I first laid eyes on her, she was just a tiny, spunky puppy, jumping on top of her brothers in a box. Now she’s almost 6 (and still as tough as ever). Daisy is half chihuahua and half rat terrier, but if she were human, she’d be part Xena: Warrior Princess and part TankGirl (with just a touch of Julia Roberts).
She is a ferocious beast who secretly has a heart of gold (but don’t tell anyone— it would ruin her street cred). She likes playing tug-of-war, going on really (and I mean REALLY) long walks, eating bones, barking at killers/ninjas/ghosts/everyone, and cuddling with her fur-bro Shadow.

Happy Dog Day Sunday! Meet Shadow, my sweet fur-baby who we adopted from a Las Vegas rescue group called Adopt a Rescue Pet. (We think he’s about 4 years old and part chihuahua, part rat terrier, part CAT, and all cuteness).
He likes sitting in laps (especially when I’m at the computer typing GGW articles), playing with his “squeaker” toys, chasing laser pointers, chomping on bones, and playing with his fur-sister Daisy.

They say that every dog has his day, and here at GGW that day just so happens to be Sunday!
Send photos of your pet dog (or dogs, because there is no such thing as too many pups) to email@example.com and we’ll feature them every Sunday right here on our website!
Don’t forget to share your special stories or memories that you have with your doggy, as well.
Since this is a new feature, we don’t have any photos of your pets to share today. But because I will happily take any excuse to show off my dog, I am more than happy to get the momentum going!
Meet Bailey Bear! She is a one-year-old Zuchon, a “designer” hybrid breed of a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise. This breed is often referred to as “teddy bears” since they so resemble the stuffed animal (especially as puppies).
We named her Bailey in order to honor our Irish heritage. She may very well be the most Irish of anyone in my family, as she was actually born on St. Patrick’s Day!
Bailey is an essential part of my family and in many ways I consider her my 4-legged daughter. Call me crazy, I don’t care, but I refer to myself as her mom!
She does have her own genetic family as well. Bailey’s half brother Riley lives with my own brother and his family just up the road.
I make sure that Bailey stays very socialized both with people and other dogs. She spends a lot of time with her brother and her best friend Maddie – a German Shepherd who lives up the street. Even though Maddie is completely massive in comparison to her, she still fearlessly plays with her.
I can’t even begin to put into words how much I love and adore Bailey! She has brought such happiness into not only my life, but my family’s as well. Needless to say, I am extremely obsessed.
But enough about Bailey for now, I want to see your dog photos!
