Celebrate Ghostbusters Day with Build-A-Bear

Build-A-Bear is taking Ghostbusters day to a whole new level with the release of limited edition “bears” based on the original franchise!

The collection consists of a Ghostbusters themed bear ($25), the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man ($29), and a miniature version of everyone’s favorite ghoul, Slimer ($12.50).

Ghostbusters fans also have the option of purchasing the Supernatural Bear Set ($56.50), which includes the Ghostbusters themed bear, a proton pack, black boots, and the classic tan jumpsuit.

And no, the bears are not stuffed with ectoplasm. Bummer, we know.

The collection also includes several accessories, including the Ghostbusters jumpsuit, the proton pack, a t-shirt, the Ghostbusters theme song (which is inserted into the bear’s paw), and a marshmallow scented bear disk, all of which are compatible with normal-sized bears.

The Build-A-Bear Ghostbusters collection is available for pre-order now through Sunday June 12.

Which “bear” is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!

Whatcha Gonna Wear? PROTON PACKS AND JUMPSUITS!!

#whatyougonnawear #whatyougonnashoot

Paul Feig posted to Twitter the new costuming for the Ghostbusters reboot, and it’s surprisingly not revamped too much for the ladies!

There’s a comparison between the new and old uniforms and proton packs. What is great is that they are staying true to the original. The jumpsuits are pretty much the same, with the exception of orange bands, which we don’t know yet if or what they represent. I also like how they are baggy and comfortable looking, not skin baring, curve hugging and unrealistic like some might expect from an all girls reboot. The proton packs also seem to be a little smaller in size as well, but with age and technology, things do get smaller and more advanced with time.

I would also like to point out, maybe like an Easter Egg of sorts, they’re keeping the franchise within the Saturday Night Live Family, as half of the original cast and three people from the new cast got their starts on SNL.

Ghostbusters will be making its reboot debut on July 22, 2016, and will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon
