New Mockingjay Part 2 Movie Posters

With San Diego Comic Con starting on the 9th, Lionsgate has released eight new Mockingjay Part 2 movie posters for the event. The eight posters were released to various media outlets today and you can view them all here. This new character set is being labeled as “Faces of the Revolution” and feature Katness, Peeta, Prim, Finnick, Gale, Cressida,  Johanna, and Boggs. The rebels are all featured with red face paint, and look ready to set off to the capital to begin the 76th Hunger Games; the unofficial game President Snow has developed within the capital. In the final film, we will see the rebels infiltrate the capital, gaining allies to try and stop President Snow once and for all, and to elect a new official with a less corrupt agenda.

These posters will be available exclusively at SDCC this week, and if you’re lucky enough to attend one of the largest comic conventions, Conan O’Brien will be moderating the Mockingjay panel at the event. The panel will also debut never been seen footage of the movie with its star studded panel.

“The Hunger Games: The Exhibition” Moves to San Francisco!

Sorry, New York, but your time with Lionsgate’s exhibit of The Hunger Games memorabilia is up!

In a statement to Variety, Lionsgate has confirmed that the next stop for “The Hunger Games: The Exhibition” will be Palace of Fine Arts Exhibition Hall in San Francisco after spending six months at Discovery Times Square in the heart of New York City.

The exhibit boasts a whopping 12,000-square foot spread and will feature everything from costumes and props to recreations of your favorite scenes from the franchise, plus a retail shop. It’s been organized into seven galleries: District 12, Tribute Train, the Capitol, Making the Games, District 13, Fan Gallery, and Katniss’ Journey.

In an effort to further expand the Hunger Games brand, Lionsgate will also premiere a live theatrical experience called “The Hunger Games StageAround” in England, as well as an attraction at Motiongate theme park in Dubai.

Head to San Fran to see the exhibit starting this Wednesday, July 1, and don’t forget to catch the final film in the franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, out November 20!

Tea Review: Peeta Blend

peeta_tea1

peeta blend

created by: Cara McGee

“I do the cakes,” he admits to me. “The cakes?” I ask. I’ve been preoccupied with watching the boy from District 2 send a spear through a dummy’s heart from fifteen yards. “What cakes?” “At home. The iced ones, for the bakery,” he says…. “It’s lovely. If only you could frost someone to death,” I say.

Inspired by The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins which I am in no way affiliated with. This is created purely for my own enjoyment.

My Review:

The Peeta blend smells deliciously sweet in the bag (in this case, the tin) with the vanilla green and almonds at the forefront of the fragrance. I let it steep for about 5 minutes. In the cup, the vanilla and almond are still quite strong, but the chocolate chai scent complements nicely.

Upon the first mouthful, this blend is quite mellow to me, maintaining its sweetness without being overpowering, the almond and chai giving it just the tiniest bite afterward. I plan on brewing another cup and adding milk and sugar to see how it goes. I think this could also be quite good iced.
