I want to say now, this book series affected me more than Harry Potter, and I LOVE HARRY POTTER. It haunted me for two weeks after reading it and I’m not lying when I say that. This trailer, because of the content involved is making me cry (sob more like it). So if you have a deep love for Katniss and Prim, and Katniss’ desire to keep her sister out of the games and alive, here is your three-minute warning to grab some tissues before watching the trailer.
Mockingjay Part 2 will no doubt pick up where the first left off. Peeta is still high on tracker jacker venom in the Capitol’s attempt to turn him into a weapon to kill Katniss. Together, they head off to infiltrate the Capitol and along the way gain more allies, and take over District 2, the weapons. There they learn special tricks, and begin building their own army. But when they get to the Capitol, they find out (to prevent further attacks) the Capitol is engineered like a game arena, complete with booby traps of its own. The rest…well, the rest is depressing.
The new trailer features a shadow warrior Katniss, in almost fanmade tribute style video editing, depicting Katniss’ and Prim’s deep love for one another, and how close they really were. It showcases the most prominent scenes for the two in little memory like sequences. The music sets the tone of how one is feeling while watching them. If you think you’re strong enough, here is the trailer.
Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will hit theaters November 20, 2015.
Also, here is an additional trailer I just found that released a month ago called “We March Together”. It shows a lot of new footage from the first, including that scene with the little silver parachutes…
Yesterday we brought you the first look at Arkham Knight DLC, “Batgirl: A Matter of Family” where DC treated us to a powerful and exciting sneak peek at the cinematic cut scenes featuring Barbara Gordon in full, gorgeous costume, kicking crime’s butt and facing the Joker alongside Tim Drake’s Robin.
Today we got a whole trailer, all 90 seconds of it. We start out with Batgirl and Robin arriving at the Joker’s “main event” at the big top circus in the heart of Seagate Amusement Park. Harley Quinn, in her traditional red and black outfit, slinks by as we take a look around. Not only are there GCPD and SWAT officers dead or held hostage throughout the park, but Jim Gordon’s been captured and caged, suspended in true Joker style up high (and probably over a tank of something hungry!).
Though Robin tells her they ought to call Batman, Batgirl is adamant that the Joker will kill her father if they dare involve him. And seeing as how the Joker, sitting astride a huge canon, announces “the magnificent deaths of the caped do-gooders,” it looks like Barbara is going to have to play along with the psychopath’s demands.
Both Batgirl and Robin swoop in from above with all the knock-out force of the dive attacks we’ve come to love from the Arkham series of games, taking out the masked Joker thugs. Batgirl deftly disarms a brute with her batclaw, then makes quick work of the thug who dared aim a shotgun at her. With a Diana Rigg-esque high kick, Batgirl stands tall and triumphant.
The pack of Joker thugs the next scene unleashes is standard fare for Batman game fans; the RPG the Joker wields moments after is a little bit more intimidating. We get a great shot of Robin wiping off a thug’s grin as he uses his bow staff to assist Batgirl in an aerial attack. The Joker begins to muse about how things used to be so simple before these “knuckleheads” came in and “spoiled his game.”
What follows is frenetic montage of both cinematic cutscenes and gameplay which includes the always useful detective vision. We get to see Batgirl using her invisible predator skills as she stalks some thugs, but unfortunately there are no scenes utilizing her much-anticipated hacking talents. Though considering how dynamic and exciting this trailer is supposed to be, I suppose there wasn’t room for the more cerebral of her skill set.
As Batgirl promises that she’s “gonna put them all away,” Joker replies, “Not. Funny,” and fires his RPG at the base of one of the gondola lift pylons. Batgirl shouts out a warning to Robin, and, as the pylon explodes into a fireball, we watch Batgirl take flight on the edge of the shock wave.
The trailer ends with Harley’s signature giggle as the Joker points his handgun towards the viewer and eerily remarks, “It’s been a blast…” I don’t think it was a mere coincidence that they included this as the final scene to the trailer. Have a look for yourself:
Despite the initial grumblings earlier this year over the value and viability of the Arkham Knight Season Pass deal (Season Pass and Premium Edition, priced at $39.99 and $99.99, respectively), today’s release proves that WB and Rocksteady sure didn’t skimp on style. Here’s hoping they didn’t skimp on story, either, and that we get as much bang for our buck as we’ve hoped.
“Batgirl: A Matter of Family” releases to Season Pass holders Tuesday, July 14, in North America, and July 21 to non-Season Pass holders for $6.99.
What are your initial impressions about the trailer? Have you signed up for Season Pass for Arkham Knight yet? Do you think you’re getting your money’s worth with this newest DLC?
Did you notice anything new with your prime time last night? Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have dropped three new TV spots for Terminator Genisys a week ahead of the premiere and served up new footage to boot! We’ve got all three of them below.
Genisys will follow a reimagining of the plot of the original Terminator film: John Connor sends Kyle Reese back in time to save his mother, Sarah Connor, from a killer cyborg sent to murder her and prevent Connor from rising up to save mankind from a hostile takeover by machines. Only this time, because of some unforeseen events, the timeline is fractured and Kyle must contend with this alternate version of history to complete his new mission of resetting the future.
Take a look at the trailers to see all of the explosions, chases, and death defying stunts Genisys has in store for us below and tell me you’re not excited about this!
TerminatorGenisys, the first in a new Terminator trilogy, hits theaters on July 1, 2015.

“You may know his story, but you don’t know mine.”
It’s here ladies and gents! The first look of Supergirl, premiering this fall on CBS. There is not one dull moment to be had here, folks. Clocking in at a little over six minutes, it highlights some really awesome scenes and plot development.
The trailer shows her going from just an “ordinary” woman, to saving a plane and numerous costume trials and errors, to becoming the full-fledged hero she is!
This is one show coming out this fall that – and I think I can speak for almost anyone, here – is going to be well worth the wait. From the looks of this trailer, I don’t think there’ll be any disappointment.
Check out the first look below and tell us what you think in the comments!
If you grew up in the ’80s, you know one of the great shows was Jem and the Holograms. Last year, we heard rumblings of a live action movie. Most people were excited but some remained skeptical.
The full length trailer released last night, and it did not go without notice that Universal seems to be taking a different direction from the beloved cartoon with this movie. They’ve modernized and changed the main storyline; my guess is this was done so a new generation can relate to it, since YouTube didn’t exist in the ’80s.
Hot on the heels of the other amazingtrailers we’ve been treated to this week, 20th Century Fox has released a new full-length trailer for Fantastic Four. There’s so much goodness packed into just under three minutes, so what are you waiting for? Check it out!
In Fox’s Fantastic Four, Reid Richards (Miles Teller), Sue Storm (Kate Mara), Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) discover the key to interdimensional travel and visit another dimension, imbuing them with their abilities and the will to become Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing.
And the trailer gives us a glimpse at the Four’s most enduring adversary, Dr. Doom (Toby Kebbel). Correct me if I’m wrong, but did I see Victor travel through dimensions with the Four? Guess we know how he got his powers (and why he’s so angry at them).
Fantastic Four hits theaters August 7, 2015 and I will so be there!
Don’t look now, but we’ve got a new teaser from a galaxy far, far away! All your favorites are back in this just-released trailer from J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Check it out:
The Force Awakens is the seventh film in the sci-fi classic franchise and is set 30 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. It’s also the first time Abrams has been at the helm of a Star Wars film.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18, 2015. Will you be there?
The Hunger Games is set to release on Blu-Ray and DVD August 18. Last night at the San Diego Comic Con, Lionsgate debuted an exclusive clip from the special features that will be available on the discs. The clip give viewers an inside look at one of the more harrowing scenes in the movie as Katniss tried to outrun a wall of fire.
The popular comic book character Judge Dredd is getting a 21st century make over in the upcoming stylized action flick Dredd. The movie stars Karl Urban (Star Trek) as Dredd, the ultimate judge in law enforcement. This movie already looks like a sharp and gritty departure from the previous film based on the comic book hero starring Sylvester Stallone.
Set in a future American wasteland inside the fictional crime ridden Mega City, the “judges” who have been granted the the powers of judge, jury, and executioner, are the only thing that stand in the way of complete chaos. Machinima has the exclusive trailer available on their youtube channel.
“During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan. When they capture one of the clan’s inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound’s control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival. -Lionsgate”
